Phoenix Linux Users Group Security Team

Monthly security presentation labs, with open community participation occur every month on the Second Saturday in Tempe at Maker Bench (3-6PM).

This interactive presentation format covers industry news, specific protection issues in linux, ongoing industry tool development, RFC scripts, exploits & net neutrality.

Ethical and legal, as well as liability aspects of security testing are covered as we investigate the strange world of computer insecurity from our Penguin perspectives.

The PLUG Security group now joins the InstallFesters at UAT in Tempe for lab type events, installs and demonstrations.

Hackfests are specially scheduled demonstrations that include open member participation hacking, cracking, exploits and IDS.
Hackfests are open encroachment events with designated targets.

We also provide information and tools to modify cable modems for DOCSIS 2.0 JTAG to USB and no-solder pin.

Hack test your installations, networks, and program source using Linux Security distro tools.

The PLUG Security Group provides 3rd Party Open Source Security Scans for websites for free and Forensics via a sliding fee basis (depending on what you need and which of our professionals takes the work). 2nd Saturday 3-6 PM Tempe meeting facilities generously provided by Maker Bench.

The PLUG Security team meets with the Installfest for lab type activities when schedules allow, at UAT the Last Saturday of every month (Jan-Oct). Labs are put off during Nov/Dec.
